Teaching Philosophy Statement:

HOW DO I CONCEIVE TEACHING EFL?
During this second practice, I felt more confident about teaching, developing classroom management and other issues because at this time, I had more experience in teaching area and I noticed how I had improve my classes comparing with my first classes. Now, I could had more control and monitor my students and even provide them more vocabulary and explain them interesting things, the activities were also much better, in fact, the activities that I previous used in teaching practicum I were much successful and interesting. Furthermore, I had more experience preparing classes, considering the time and a lot important aspects. In addition, teachers have a complex labor because as teacher we had to know not only how evaluate our students, but also to know them and how to develop the activities with them. Learning a foreign language, it´s not an easy job and teaching English is more complicated, but as teacher we can use strategies to facilitate their English learning process and consider their ages, learning styles, the levels, etc. One of the most important aspects to consider at the moment of teaching EFL is that the students have to develop the macro skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking, which involves a lot of aspects that the teacher have to consider in every class like for example prepare activities that involves theses skills in order to help them to improve them.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE TEACHER IN AN EFL CLASSROOM?
The role of the teacher in an EFL classroom is being a facilitator, explainer, motivator, controller, monitor assessor, corrector, etc. Facilitator involves to look for the most appropriate activities, strategies, etc. to facilitate the student´s learning process.
Also, the teacher has to be an explainer, using different strategies, and activities. In addition, teachers have to be creative to design their classes. Furthermore, the teacher has to motivate to the students to learn by themselves. Teachers´rol involve other important aspects as the seating arrangement, giving instructions, monitoring student´s work, participation, responsibility, etc. Being assessor, it´s other important role, teachers have to assess students’ work. Finally, no less important, teachers have to be a corrector, he have to correct student´s pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar structures.
One of the most important roles as teacher is to be someone who helps students to feel motivate for practicing and improving their English language learning.

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THE STUDENTS?
The main role of students is dedicate their time to focus in developing and work everything that the teacher asks them to do by participating in all the activities in classes, bring homework etc., and study not only inside but also outside the classroom to try to improve their English learning.

WHAT ARE MY EXPECTATIONS OF AN EFL CLASSROOM?

My expectations of an EFL classroom involve important aspects as improving my teaching now that I have more experience in applying strategies, developing activities, seating arrangement, monitoring, explanation of grammar, providing new vocabulary, etc. and many important techniques that I had learned in teaching practicum I in order that all these elements could help me to develop my teaching in a better way than the previous practice. No less important, I hope to consider the macro skills, learning styles, etc.  In every activity, in every class in order to help my students to develop their capacity to develop the target language, at the same time, l expect to learn from my practices and consider feedback from my tutors in order  to continue improving in my teaching.
